Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Lead Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, endodontics and oral surgery by providing chair-side support and managing dental instruments with precision. Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies and infection control standards. Operate and troubleshoot all of the practices dental technology such as EMR systems and 3D scanners to accurately document patient information, medical records, and dental coding. Manage dental sterilization procedures and instrument processing to guarantee readiness for all patient treatments while complying with dental sterilization protocols. Oversee patient flow by coordinating appointments, verifying vital signs including blood pressure and pulse, and assisting with dental imaging. Support the dental reception process by greeting patients, scheduling appointments when appropriate, updating dental documentation, and ensuring seamless communication between patients and staff. Maintain clinical supplies inventory and ensure all equipment is functioning optimally for efficient clinic operations. Educate patients on oral health practices related to general dentistry, oral surgery recovery, endodontic care, or other specialized treatments while maintaining professional communication using appropriate dental terminology. Uphold compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA privacy rules while managing sensitive medical records securely. Lead training initiatives for new team members on clinical protocols such as four-handed dentistry techniques, infection control practices, and anatomy knowledge to promote continuous team development. Conduct huddles and various HR cycles. Conduct treatment plans as needed. Run the clinical floor daily while balancing other responsibilities. Experience Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic environment with a strong foundation in general dentistry procedures. Demonstrated proficiency in dental assisting roles with expertise in chairside assisting across various specialties including general dentistry, endodontics and oral surgery. Familiarity with practice management software (PMS) systems such as Dentrix Ascend or Open Dental Knowledge of dental terminology related to dentistry and healthcare infection prevention protocols is required. Experience handling dental imaging equipment like X-ray machines or 3D scanners is highly desirable. Five years of prior leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical setting is required.

Pay:

$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
