Our office is a private setting, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the delivery of exceptional dental care. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence.
Requirements:
2 years dental experience Proficient in making temporary crowns Familiar with itero scanner Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry by handing instruments, managing suction, and maintaining a clear field of view. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient records efficiently using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and coding. Monitor vital signs and medical history to ensure patient safety before procedures; communicate any concerns to the dental team promptly. Provide exceptional chairside assistance by explaining procedures to patients, answering questions about dental terminology, and ensuring their comfort throughout treatment. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist, updating medical records, and maintaining infection control protocols across the clinic. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a busy dental clinic environment. Proficiency with EMR systems including Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; familiarity with medical coding and documentation standards. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while following radiation safety guidelines; experience with 3D scanners is a plus. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience assisting in pediatric cases preferred. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients of all ages; ability to explain procedures clearly and compassionately. Certification in radiography or dental assisting from an accredited program; CPR certification is desirable.
