• Pompano Beach, FL Full-time | Monday-Friday, no weekends | $16-$21/hr based on experience + bonus pay Some dental offices are just busy. Ours is built around making patients feel calm, cared for, and actually looked after, and that only works with a great assistant chairside. We're looking for an experienced dental assistant who takes pride in running a smooth operatory, anticipates what the dentist needs before it's asked, and knows how to put a nervous patient at ease. What Your Day Looks Like:
Greeting patients warmly and getting them comfortable in the chair. Setting up operatories with the right instruments, materials, and equipment for each procedure. Assisting chairside with four-handed dentistry. Taking radiographs. Sterilizing instruments and keeping infection control airtight. Pouring models and fabricating whitening trays. Walking patients through post-op and home-care instructions so they leave confident. Keeping operatories clean, organized, and fully stocked. Updating patient charts accurately and helping with checkout and payments as needed. Maintaining equipment and helping order supplies.
What You Bring:
Required:
2+ years of chairside dental assisting experience. Florida dental radiography certification. Current BLS/CPR certification. Solid knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization, OSHA, and HIPAA. High school diploma or equivalent. Comfort with dental practice software and digital charting. A friendly, reliable, detail-oriented approach. You're the kind of person who notices when something's off and fixes it.
Big Pluses:
Florida Expanded Functions (EFDA) certification. Experience fabricating temporary crowns and bridges. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience with [Dentrix / Eaglesoft / OpenDental]. Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program. How to
