Are you a caring, dependable, and detail-oriented Dental Hygiene Assistant looking for a full-time opportunity where you can make a difference? Punta Gorda Dental Care is growing! We are an established dental practice with exciting plans for expansion, and we are looking for the right person to join us as we continue building a successful, thriving practice. As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you'll work closely with our hygienists and clinical team to provide an exceptional patient experience while helping keep our hygiene department organized, efficient, and running smoothly. What You'll Do Assist the dental hygienist with patient care and clinical procedures Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and sterilize instruments Take and process dental X-rays, if certified Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Follow all infection control and OSHA guidelines Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions Help manage the hygiene schedule and maintain an efficient workflow Keep hygiene supplies stocked, organized, and ready for use Assist with presenting treatment plans and educating patients when needed Support other clinical team members to ensure an excellent patient experience Help create a welcoming, positive, and comfortable environment for every patient What We're Looking For Previous dental assisting experience preferred, especially in hygiene X-ray certification required or willingness to obtain certification Friendly, compassionate, and comfortable interacting with patients Strong communication and interpersonal skills Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Team player with a positive attitude Eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the success of a growing practice Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental software is a plus Why Join Punta Gorda Dental Care?
