Role:
Weaver and Stratton Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics is looking for an experienced Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our team. This position rotates between two fully equipped pediatric offices, each with a dedicated orthodontic wing. No need to transport instruments. You'll help deliver excellent care in a fast-paced, child-friendly environment. This specific role is a Dental Assistant Floater role and you would go where needed, flexibility is key. Key Responsibilities Prepare operatories and ensure the sterilization of instruments Assist with orthodontic procedures including bonding, banding, wire changes, separators, and retainer delivery Take diagnostic records: X-rays, impressions, and iTero scans Accurately document treatment and patient progress Provide appliance care instructions to patients and families Support orthodontists and the clinical team to maintain efficient workflow Qualifications Orthodontic dental assisting experience preffered not required Experience in pediatric or high-volume dental settings preferred Current radiology certification; orthodontic assisting certification preferred Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and collaborative Reliable transportation and flexibility to work across both office locations What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Full benefits package including health, dental, vision, and PTO Scrubs allowance to select your preferred style Supportive, team-oriented work environment Opportunities for professional growth within a well-established pediatric dental practice

Julington Creek & Orange Park (travel required between offices)
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 7:15 AM-5:00
PM Position Type:
Full-time (36+ hours/week)
