Shinyhappysmiles What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Reliable and punctual Positive, energetic, and friendly A true team player A self-starter who doesn't need to be asked to help A fast and eager learner Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Patient and compassionate when working with children Professional and confident when communicating with parents Someone who takes pride in their work and wants to continuously improve Most importantly, you need to genuinely enjoy working with children. Qualifications EFDA or CDA certification required Previous pediatric dental experience preferred Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures Experience taking dental radiographs Understanding of dental infection control and sterilization Experience with Dentrix Ascend preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care What You'll Do As a Pediatric Dental Assistant, you'll play an important role in creating a great experience for our patients while supporting the dentist and the rest of the team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the dentist during examinations and dental procedures Taking and processing dental radiographs Preparing treatment rooms and maintaining instruments and equipment Following proper sterilization and infection-control procedures Accurately documenting patient information and clinical notes Helping children feel comfortable and confident during their appointments Educating children and parents about oral hygiene and recommended care Maintaining an organized, clean, and efficient clinical environment Supporting the team throughout the day wherever needed Assisting with pediatric procedures and treatments Communicating professionally and compassionately with patients and parents Our Vision At Shiny Happy Smiles, we strive to make a positive difference in the lives of children and teens by providing exceptional oral healthcare in an environment where they feel safe, respected, and cared for.
