The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Dental Assistant will also be responsible for ensuring that the dental clinic operates smoothly and adheres to all health regulations. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring it is clean and organized according to infection control protocols Take dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety standards Manage patient records and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems -Open dental or Dentrix Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow Skills Proficient in EMR systems, particularly Open Dental Strong knowledge of dental terminology Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and Oral surgery Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred Join our team of professionals dedicated to providing high-quality dental care.
