Job Description

SRQ Dental is a new, state-of-the-art practice in Sarasota (right off Fruitville near I-75), and we're looking for a stellar Dental Assistant to join our team! Paperless & all-digital (CBCT, Trios, etc.) Fun, supportive, and modern environment Prefer 1-3 years experience (but open to all!) Must be hardworking with a great attitude! Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment. Take X-rays and CBCT images as required. Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately. Manage patient records and documentation. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and coordinating patient flow. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment. Job Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a dental clinic setting is preferred. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Open Dental is highly advantageous. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Ability to perform chairside assisting duties effectively while maintaining patient comfort. Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with patients of all ages. Certification in CPR or BLS; additional certifications related to dental assisting are a plus.
