Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team. This role combines essential clinical support with front desk responsibilities, ensuring a seamless patient experience from appointment scheduling to post-treatment care. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional patient service while maintaining efficient office operations. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and verifying patient information. Assist the dental team during procedures by preparing instruments, taking x-rays, and ensuring patient comfort. Sterilize instruments and keep OSHA standards. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks. Manage medical records filing, data entry, and electronic health records management with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office software. Uphold clinical confidentiality policies while providing excellent customer service and supporting daily clinic operations. Skills We are willing to train a new dental assistant. Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and health information management. Excellent customer service skills with phone etiquette, professional communication, and bilingual abilities preferred to serve diverse patient populations. Proficient in clerical tasks such as filing, 10-key typing, data entry, and medical administrative support using Microsoft Office tools. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
