We are looking to find our next team player to join our dental family. This important role will be a Dental Office Assistant and Dental Assistant. This specific position has a dual function including maintaining and organization all administrative functions in the front office, to include reception tasks such as answering phones, mail/email, patient scheduling, communicating patients arrivals promptly, and managing administrative records. Dental Assisting is also a role in this position and is required. Responsibilities and Duties Under direct supervision, assists the dentist and/or dental hygienist in chair side dentistry. Prepares dental instruments and dental operatory. Disinfects and sterilizes dental instruments in compliance and accepted infection control procedures. Operates radiographic equipment to obtain dental radiographs of patients. Assists the dentist by providing chair side technical support processes. Follows ALL safety/risk management practices in performing duties, including patient privacy. Front Office Assistant tasks to include administrative scheduling, documentation of patient dental treatments and transactions, following office procedures for patient referrals and scheduling of office appointments. Other duties include maintaining office accounts receivables, making financial arrangements with patients prior to treatments and ordering office and administrative supplies. Qualifications and Skills Dental office experience is required for this position: Radiography Certified Active Expanded Function Dental Assisting Certification (EDFA) or RDA/CDA certificate obtained prior to May 2009, according to State guidelines and limitations. Strong work ethic, quick learner, great verbal and communication skills, professional attitude, ability to multi-task, excellent hand skills, energetic, positive attitude, adaptable to change and a TEAM player. Benefits 4 day work week, Monday-Thursday, to include paid holidays, and vacation time. Uniforms/Scrubs are provided.
