MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS OF DENTAL ASSISTING EXPERIENCE
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure smooth clinical operations, and deliver outstanding patient care. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and implant placement and restoration. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all clinical supplies are stocked and ready. Take dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and dental imaging tools while adhering to strict radiation safety protocols. Manage patient records efficiently using Open Dental, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures following infection prevention management standards to maintain aseptic technique and clinical confidentiality policies. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation during patient visits to ensure comprehensive care. Support front desk operations by acting as a dental receptionist when needed, scheduling appointments, confirming patient information, and managing dental records with professionalism. Maintain infection control protocols by practicing healthcare infection prevention and control expertise, including proper dental sterilization procedures and dental equipment handling. Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and the importance of maintaining good dental hygiene habits. Skills Proficiency with dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting skills. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and clinical procedures across various specialties such as endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry. Experience operating dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other dental imaging devices while maintaining safety standards. Familiarity with Open Dental Ability to perform dental sterilization procedures accurately while adhering to infection prevention policies. Excellent communication skills for effective patient management and collaboration within the dental team. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare settings for accurate documentation and patient care coordination Ability to handle medical/dental documentation securely while respecting clinical confidentiality policies in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
