Beyond that, experience is nice, but it's not the deciding factor. I'd genuinely rather train someone brand new who's motivated, kind, and curious than hire someone experienced who's just going through the motions. Skills can be taught. Attitude can't. What this job actually feels like You won't stand in a corner suctioning saliva all day. You won't be invisible. You'll be chairside with the doctor, prepping the room, taking x-rays, and being the calm, reassuring presence patients (and nervous parents) need. You'll watch kids grow up in this chair over the years. You'll be the person patients ask for by name.
