Job Description
Benevis Dental is seeking a part-time Bilingual Dental Assistant to support quality patient care in a busy dental practice. In this role, you will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists chairside, take X-rays, and ensure efficient patient flow. You'll use your language skills to explain procedures and post-care instructions, helping patients feel informed and comfortable. You will also maintain sterilization standards, update electronic records, and help with scheduling and front-desk tasks. Responsibilities Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures, ensuring comfort and clear communication in English and a second language Assist dentists and hygienists chairside, passing instruments, managing suction, and following infection-control protocols Sterilize and organize instruments, maintain treatment rooms, and manage supply inventory Take and process digital X-rays and intraoral images in accordance with safety and regulatory standards Accurately document patient information, treatment notes, and billing codes in practice management software Schedule appointments, confirm visits, and help manage patient flow for an efficient daily schedule Provide pre- and post-procedure instructions to patients and parents, reinforcing oral hygiene education Support front-desk tasks as needed, including check-in, check-out, and insurance verification Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to improve workflow and patient satisfaction Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and practice policies to ensure safety, privacy, and quality of care Required Skills Chairside dental assisting Dental radiography/digital X-rays Infection control and sterilization Dental instrument setup and tray preparation Electronic dental/patient record systems Bilingual patient communication Scheduling and appointment management Dental terminology and charting Basic insurance verification and billing support HIPAA and OSHA compliance
