Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Endodontic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary dental instruments, materials, and equipment for endodontic procedures, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use. Assist the dentist during root canal treatments by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and maintaining a clear field of operation using aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans, accurately documenting findings in electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical histories, recording vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit. Follow infection prevention protocols including sterilization procedures, dental equipment maintenance, and adherence to clinical confidentiality policies in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on post-treatment care instructions and answer questions related to endodontic procedures and oral health. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in accordance with healthcare standards and clinic policies. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with specific knowledge of endodontics or general dentistry preferred. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation including dental x-ray machines and 3D scanners. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar patient management software. Strong understanding of infection control practices including dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, team members, and healthcare professionals. Ability to perform chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral surgery and endodontic procedures is highly desirable.
