Job Description

This part-time position is two days per week (no benefits) and transition to 32-40 hours per week (with benefits) within a year. Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic dental assistant with strong work ethics, excellent communication and patient care skills to join our amazing team! This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, friendly environment where your skills in clinical assistance, patient management, and infection control will shine. You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth clinic operations, maintaining high standards of hygiene, and enhancing patient experiences from start to finish.
EXPERIENCED DENTAL ASSISTANT PREFERRED.
Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilization procedures to ensure readiness for patient care. Assist dentists during various procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and some pediatric dentistry with chairside support. Take dental x-rays, including 3D scans, while adhering to strict radiation safety protocols. Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical histories, taking vital signs, and ensuring comfort throughout their visit. Maintain accurate documentation using patient management software like Open Dental while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Process dental instruments through sterilization procedures following infection prevention management standards. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and dental terminology to promote ongoing oral hygiene.
