Job Summary The work study program provides funds for part-time employment to help students finance the costs of postsecondary education. The program encourages community service work and work related to the student's course of study. The program is designed to provide students with an opportunity for employment arranged around class schedules, while providing essential services to the College and the community. Essential Functions Assist with the daily administrative operations of the Dental Programs department. Provide customer service by greeting students, faculty, staff, and patients in person and by phone. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, document preparation, copying, and scanning. Maintain accurate records and assist with organizing departmental files and materials. Support special projects, events, and activities related to Dental Programs. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Strong communication skills in person and on the phone, with attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. Basic computer skills, the ability to answer phones, and a willingness to learn departmental software and processes. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Accurate and thorough record-keeping abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Dependable, organized, and able to work independently. Desired Qualifications Previous experience in a dental office, dental clinic, healthcare setting, or dental education program. Knowledge of dental terminology and common dental office procedures. Experience working with electronic records, scheduling systems, or patient management software. Current enrollment in a health sciences program is preferred (exception: Dental Assisting/Dental Hygiene). Work Schedule 8 hours per week between the hours of 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday.
