We are looking for an energetic assistant to join our orthodontic practice. Responsibilities include taking cephalometric, panoramic and bite wing x-rays, taking impressions of patient maxillary and mandibular arches, pouring and trimming of patient models, taking intra-oral photos, sterilization of instruments, making essix retainers, assisting doctor with routine appointments, bonding of orthodontic appliances, and removal of orthodontic appliances. Occasional answering of phones and scheduling of patient appointments, and light cleaning as necessary. Assistants must be comfortable working in patient mouths. Registered dental assistant certification with the state of Iowa preferred and x-ray certification required. Our office hours are Monday - Thursday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. We have offices in Tipton, Muscatine and Iowa City. We offer generous vacation time, paid holidays, 401K match, Medical and Dental insurance.
