Job Summary Dr. Tammy Grimm is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join the team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental practice by providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, infection control protocols, and proficiency in dental software systems. Our practice is owned and operated by Dr. Tammy Grimm. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready for use. Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff, adhering to aseptic techniques. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient files, and processing medical coding as needed. Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experience and improve overall practice efficiency. Experience Previous experience in general dentistry or dental assisting is preferred. Familiarity with infection control systems and aseptic techniques is essential. Proficiency in using dental software systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical coding and maintaining accurate medical records will be considered an asset. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment are crucial for success in this role. Pay:
$17.00 - $24.00 per hour
