The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth daily operations. Prior experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is preferred, along with knowledge of HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols. Candidates should possess strong understanding of dental terminology, medical documentation, and anatomy to effectively assist in various dental procedures, including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of patient safety and comfort while supporting the clinical team with chairside assisting, X-ray procedures, vital signs measurement, and medical imaging. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials using aseptic techniques Take and develop X-rays and other medical imaging as required, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed Record patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Manage patient flow efficiently by scheduling appointments and updating medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance procedure efficiency Measure vital signs and monitor patient comfort throughout treatments Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and ensuring a sterile environment Educate patients on post-treatment care and dental health practices Support administrative tasks such as medical coding, documentation, and handling patient inquiries as needed Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable Familiarity with EMR systems including Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is preferred Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques is essential Experience with pediatric dentistry procedures and pediatric patient management is a plus Certification or training in X-ray technology and medical imaging is advantageous Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical records and data privacy Previous roles involving dental assisting or medical documentation will be considered favorably This position provides an excellent platform for career growth within the dental field for motivated individuals committed to delivering outstanding patient care.
