Job Summary Magnolia Pediatric Dentistry + Orthodontics is a private practice located in the Wicker Park/Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago. We are looking for a Dental Assistant to join our wonderful team! As a dental assistant in a pediatric/orthodontic practice, you will be asked to provide exceptional patient care & experiences with positivity, friendliness, professionalism, and assurance. We look for a dental receptionist/assistant who: Are flexible, team players who will perform front desk reception & administrative duties (answering phones, scheduling patients, accepting payments, etc) along with flex to back-end dental assistant functions when needed Create positive patient experiences, greeting patients and parents with a warm smile and a

for choosing our office! Provide a relaxed, cheerful atmosphere for children Obtain medical and dental history and/or records from patient. Complete x-rays as appropriate Prepare tray setups for dental procedures Assist dentists with patient prep, suctioning, instrument and materials presentation Cleaning/prophy At the direction of the pediatric dentist or orthodontist, instruct patients on postoperative and general care Patient charting and doctor notes on treatment record. Maintain clean, sterile environment, including operatory, equipment, instrument sterilization & disinfection, in accordance with dental guidelines. Restocking Orthodontic assisting Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations. One year of experience working as a DA is required and a history of working with children is a plus. Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
Must have a current CPR certification, or be willing to obtain such certification within one (1) month of employment. Skills Coronal Polishing and Sealant certification Nitrous oxide monitoring Computer / dental software proficiency Radiography / digital sensors Sterilization (autoclaves, ultrasonic, handpiece equipment)

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Schedule:
Mondays, 2 Fridays and 2 Saturdays a month Hours vary by day, generally 8a-5:30p weekdays, 8a-1p
