Job Description

Orthodontic Assistant -
Full-Time Pay:
$23-$28 per hour, based on experience We are a well-established, patient-focused orthodontic practice looking for an energetic, dependable, and motivated Orthodontic Assistant to join our clinical team. We take great pride in providing exceptional orthodontic care in an environment that is professional, positive, and genuinely enjoyable to work in. We have an experienced, supportive team that works hard, helps one another, and cares deeply about our patients and the experience they have in our office. Orthodontic experience is a plus, but it is not required. We are happy to train the right person. While experience determines where someone falls within our pay range, we place tremendous value on attitude, reliability, attention to detail, professionalism, and a willingness to learn. What You'll Do As an Orthodontic Assistant, you'll work directly with our doctors and patients throughout treatment.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting with orthodontic adjustments and procedures Preparing patients and teeth for bonding and debonding Assisting with the placement and removal of orthodontic appliances Taking digital radiographs and intraoral scans Charting treatment and clinical information accurately Educating patients about oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment recommendations Providing excellent isolation for bonding procedures Setting up brackets and clinical materials Fabricating and assisting with the placement of fixed retainers Sterilizing instruments and maintaining clean, organized operatories Managing a busy patient schedule while maintaining excellent patient care Communicating with patients and parents in a friendly, professional, and reassuring manner Working collaboratively with the rest of the clinical team to keep the day running smoothly Experience with indirect bonding and orthodontic appliances is a plus, but not required. Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Is dependable, punctual, and takes pride in their work Has excellent attention to detail Is warm, friendly, and comfortable working with patients of all ages Can stay organized and efficient in a fast-paced clinical environment Communicates well with patients, parents, doctors, and coworkers Is receptive to feedback and eager to learn Takes initiative and recognizes what needs to be done Is willing to jump in and help teammates when needed Wants to contribute to a positive workplace Understands that an exceptional patient experience is just as important as excellent clinical care Previous orthodontic or dental assisting experience is certainly valuable, but we encourage applicants with strong people skills and the right attitude to apply even if they are new to orthodontics. Schedule This is a full-time position averaging approximately 35 hours per week . Our normal patient schedule is Monday through Thursday , with occasional Friday coverage.
