In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use according to infection prevention management protocols. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support with dental instruments and materials. Take and develop dental x-rays using advanced medical imaging technology such as digital X-ray systems and 3D scanners while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Patient Management Software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for clinical confidentiality policies. Perform vital signs assessments and document medical documentation to assist in comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and preventive strategies to promote long-term dental wellness. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries as a dental receptionist, and managing medical records efficiently. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems including Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar patient management software. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and clinical procedures across general dentistry disciplines. Experience with dental equipment operation including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, dental sterilization devices, and other dental instruments. Expertise in infection control practices such as infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and dental sterilization procedures. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques like four-handed dentistry to enhance procedure efficiency. Ability to interpret medical terminology accurately for documentation and communication purposes. Excellent patient management skills with a focus on delivering compassionate care while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
