This vital role combines clinical support with front desk responsibilities, ensuring patients receive exceptional care and service from their first contact to follow-up visits. You will be instrumental in managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and supporting clinical procedures with professionalism and enthusiasm. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and check in/out efficiently using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate treatment plans with precision and care Assist the dental team during procedures by preparing instruments, taking x-rays, and maintaining clinical cleanliness in compliance with HIPAA and infection control protocols Handle medical billing and coding tasks including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and insurance claims processing using systems like Athenahealth or Meditech Review medical records for accuracy, update patient files, and ensure documentation review aligns with clinical confidentiality policies Manage phone communication with patients, insurance companies, and vendors while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills Maintain organized medical records and electronic health records (EHR) management to support seamless clinic operations Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or Medical Receptionist with clinic experience preferred Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks Familiarity with medical billing procedures including medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), Medicare regulations, and health insurance processes Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and 10-key typing for accurate data entry Exceptional patient service skills coupled with professional phone communication abilities Ability to review documentation thoroughly while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Strong organizational skills with clerical experience in a healthcare setting; attention to detail is essential Join us to make a difference in patients' lives by providing compassionate care combined with efficient administrative support.
