Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure smooth clinical operations, and deliver outstanding patient care. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient management will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare and organize dental instruments, sterilize equipment according to infection prevention management protocols, and ensure clinical aseptic techniques are maintained at all times. Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar software; document treatment details thoroughly. Perform vital signs assessments and review medical history to support comprehensive patient care. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by processing dental instruments and ensuring all dental equipment is functioning properly. Support patient management by providing clear instructions, answering questions about procedures, and ensuring a positive experience from check-in to check-out. Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. Any other tasks or duties assigned. Bilingual ( English / Spanish) Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Hands-on experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection control standards, and aseptic technique. Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with patient management software is a plus. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and oral surgery procedures is desirable. Ability to maintain clinical confidentiality policies in accordance with HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive medical documentation and records.
