Polishing Certified Dental Assistant Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills to effectively discuss dental procedures with patients and make them feel at ease. You will work closely with our doctors to provide quality patient care, assist in dental procedures, and support our commitment to comprehensive dental wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction:
Engage with patients in a friendly, professional, and informative manner. Effectively communicate treatment plans and dental procedures, ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed. Assist with
Procedures:
Work alongside the doctor during exams, cleanings, and other dental treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
X-ray Imaging:
Take high-quality dental X-rays as per the doctor's instructions and ensure proper exposure and positioning. Maintain patient comfort during X-ray procedures.
Coronal Polishing & Sealants:
Perform coronal polishing and apply sealants under the doctor's supervision. Must be certified and comfortable working in this capacity.
Patient Care:
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure the environment remains clean and organized. Assist in the management of patient records and maintain confidentiality.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other dental assistants, hygienists, and office staff to ensure excellent patient flow and care.
Qualifications:
Certification:

Experience:
At least 1-2 years of experience in a dental assistant role preferred.
Skills:
Strong communication skills, with the ability to educate and inform patients about their dental care. Proficient in taking digital X-rays and operating dental equipment. Ability to perform clinical procedures such as coronal polishing and applying sealants.
Licenses/Certifications:
Dental Assistant certification required. CPR certification is a plus.
