Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Dental Assistant with at least two years of experience in the dental field to join our vibrant dental team. This energetic role involves providing exceptional chairside assistance in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for our young patients. The ideal candidate will be passionate about pediatric patient care, proficient in dental procedures, and committed to maintaining clinical excellence. You will play a vital part in supporting the dentist during various treatments, managing patient flow, and ensuring adherence to infection control protocols. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, X-rays, and restorative treatments with enthusiasm and precision Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures Take dental X-rays using digital imaging system. Manage patient comfort by explaining procedures clearly, taking vital signs, and providing reassurance throughout visits Process dental instruments following sterilization procedures and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment in compliance with infection control standards Record detailed medical and dental histories accurately in patient management software, ensuring all documentation aligns with medical terminology and clinical confidentiality policies Support front desk activities as needed by greeting patients and answering phones when needed. Experience Minimum of two years of hands-on experience as a dental assistant in a pediatric or general dentistry setting Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft Curve, or Dentrix for managing patient records and clinical documentation Strong knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation (including 3D scanners), and dental sterilization procedures Experience with chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry and oral surgery support Familiarity with medical imaging techniques including X-ray procedures specific to pediatric dentistry Ability to perform dental instrument processing safely while adhering to infection prevention management protocols Knowledge of healthcare infection control standards and aseptic techniques necessary for maintaining clinical confidentiality policies Join us to make a meaningful difference in children's oral health! $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 35.0 per week
