Job Description

Torino Ramen is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Lead Line Cook to help oversee kitchen operations while working the line in a fast-paced, casual Japanese ramen and sushi restaurant. Our restaurant is focused on bringing an excellent and exciting dining experience to the Village of Wilmette. We are looking for energetic, service driven individuals with a passion for food and beverage, who want to create experiences that bring guests back. This role is responsible for maintaining food quality, leading kitchen staff during service, and ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen. Responsibilities Lead and support kitchen staff during shifts Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation Train and coach team members as needed Assist with opening, closing, and daily kitchen operations Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards Communicate effectively with management and front-of-house staff Qualifications 2+ years of line cook experience Previous leadership or shift lead experience preferred Strong work ethic and ability to perform in a high-volume environment Knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation practices Reliable, organized, and team-oriented Positive attitude Experience with Japanese cuisine is a plus!
Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
