We are currently seeking a Dental Assistant for a full-time opportunity at Miami Correctional Facility located in Bunker Hill , Indiana. The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.

Essential Duties:

Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory Operating radiographic equipment Administrative tasks as needed High school diploma or GED equivalent required Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or minimum six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required Certification in Dental Radiology required Certification as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant preferred Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
