Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, Take X-ray images using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners and dental x-ray machines while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments following strict aseptic techniques and infection control policies; process dental instruments efficiently for reuse. Support chairside assisting by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and providing comfort to patients throughout their visit. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by adhering to infection prevention policies and dental sterilization procedures. Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure smooth patient flow, manage appointment schedules as a Dental Receptionist when needed, and provide excellent patient care from check-in to check-out. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and oral surgery support. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical confidentiality policies. Experience operating dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, sterilizers, and other dental tools with precision. Expertise in infection prevention management and aseptic techniques to uphold the highest standards of healthcare infection control. Excellent communication skills to interact empathetically with patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry cases. Knowledge of healthcare infection control practices specific to dental clinics and experience in medical documentation standards.
