Any treatment experience is much preferred, but a strong interest and willingness to learn is going to be the deciding factor for us. Obviously, as a pediatric office we are looking for someone who enjoys working with children but knows how to work with the family as a whole. We strive to provide the best possible care so technical skills are important, but we can't forget about communication with both the kids and the parents, so your social skills are equally valuable. High school diploma or equivalent is required. No experience is required, but obviously an understanding of dentistry will help you stand out. Please let us know of certifications like supragingival scaling as these will also boost your visibility. This is a full time (M-Th, 6:45a-3p) position and wages will be determined in part by experience. If you don't have dental experience, be aware there is a lot of information you'll need to learn in a short time. Please provide references.
Basic responsibilities:
Verify patient medical history and inquire about dental concerns Take digital x-rays as needed Set up and break down chairs/treatment rooms Accurately document dental care services provided during each visit (charting) Provide chair side assistance to the doctors during clinical procedures and treatment Educate children and parents to increase awareness of proper oral health and the importance of recommended treatment Assist with managing the supply inventory Other duties as assigned
