Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting with various dental procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent chairside assisting skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Take and develop X-rays, as well as perform medical imaging when necessary. Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix for patient documentation and record-keeping. Manage medical records, including medical documentation and coding, while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and assist in dentistry procedures when required. Provide chairside assistance during various dental treatments including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and surgical care. Engage with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and ensure a comfortable experience in the clinic. Qualifications Certification as a Dental Assistant is preferred. Experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is essential. Familiarity with dentistry practices is a plus. Proficiency in taking X-rays and using 3D scanners for imaging is desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is highly valued. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating excellent organizational skills.
