Job Description

Overview:
We are looking for a skilled, dependable, and kind dental assistant to join our highly-experienced team! The ideal candidate will have a passion for dentistry and patient care, along with expertise in various dental procedures and technologies.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
  • Efficiency in work to maintain the office schedule
  • Prepare patients for dental work and ensure their comfort
  • Sterilize instruments and equipment, assist in managing/stocking supplies
  • Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
  • Take X-rays or dental impressions
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Adhering to all HIPAA, OSHA, and any additional safety requirements and regulations
Requirements:
  • High school diploma (or equivalent), and completion of dental assistant training program or 3 year of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures
  • Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and X-ray procedures
  • General computer proficiency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations
  • CPR Certification (or completion with 3 months of hire)
  • Ability to maintain a rapport with patients and work well within a team
Nice-to-have Skills:
  • Completion of expanded duties certification
  • Knowledge of scanning and digital dentistry
  • Knowledge of prosthodontics and related treatments
