Job Description
Dental Assistant M. R. Bishop, DMD & Associates is seeking a dependable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our general dentistry team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing excellent patient care, enjoys working as part of a team, and wants to contribute to a positive, professional dental office environment. Position Responsibilities Assist the dentist during restorative, crown and bridge, endodontic, surgical, and other general dentistry procedures Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for procedures Take dental radiographs as permitted by certification/licensure Maintain proper infection control and sterilization procedures Assist with digital charting and clinical documentation Prepare and maintain dental materials and equipment Provide patients with clear, compassionate instructions before and after treatment Help ensure patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visit Keep operatories clean, organized, and properly stocked Assist with laboratory cases and impressions/scans as needed Communicate effectively with the dentist and the rest of the dental team Perform other clinical and team-support duties as needed What We're Looking For Previous dental assisting experience preferred Dental assisting certification/credentials preferred, but experience and the right attitude are also highly valued Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Dependable, punctual, and organized Comfortable working in a fast-paced dental environment Professional appearance and demeanor Compassionate and patient-focused Able to work well independently while also being a team player Willingness to learn and grow professionally What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications A professional and supportive work environment A friendly, established dental team Opportunities to learn and expand clinical skills Paid time off/paid sick time Paid holidays Medical insurance 401K matching Full-time or Part-time opportunities How to Apply If you are an experienced dental assistant who is dependable, compassionate, and enjoys taking great care of patients, we would love to hear from you.
