The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating high-quality dentures and providing exceptional support in the dental laboratory. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and various fabrication techniques. The Denture Technician will work closely with dental professionals to ensure that patient needs are met with precision and care. Duties Fabricate dentures using various materials and techniques, ensuring accuracy and quality. Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to assess patient needs and preferences. Utilize CAD software for designing denture components when necessary. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform chairside assisting as needed during patient assessments or procedures. Conduct medical imaging to support the fabrication process. Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Operate laboratory equipment such as micrometers for precise measurements. Stay updated on medical terminology, dental terminology, and best practices in denture fabrication. Assist in patient assessment by taking vital signs and documenting relevant information. Requirements Proven experience in a dental office or laboratory setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of dental fabrication processes and materials. Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly Epic, for managing patient records. Understanding of medical coding, medical documentation, and medical records management. Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and dental professionals effectively. Knowledge of anatomy related to denture fitting and fabrication is essential. Prior experience with laboratory equipment and processes is highly desirable.
