Job Description

Turpin Orthodontics is looking for an Orthodontic Assistant to join our established Ruston/West Monroe/Monroe team! Schedule:
Full-time. Monday through Thursday from 7:45AM-5:15PM. Fridays from 7:45AM to 12:00PM.

Qualifications:
1+ years of orthodontic assisting experience is required. Must be willing to travel to our Monroe, West Monroe, and Ruston locations on a weekly basis.
Job Duties:
Duties include but are not limited to the following: Taking extraoral and intraoral photographs. Taking dental impressions. Sterilization and packaging of orthodontic instruments. Disinfecting equipment and operatories. Maintaining inventory control of all lab equipment, supplies, instruments, and consumables. Preparing clinicians' chair-side set-ups. Tying and untying patients. Applying orthodontic appliances under the supervision of the orthodontist. Pouring models. Fabricating retainers. Cleaning the lab and operatories, sweeping/mopping as needed. Cleaning common areas and removing the trash. Providing oral hygiene and home care instructions to patients and family members. And adherence to all OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
