About Us Red River Endodontics is a new specialty practice serving the Ark-La-Tex region, focused on delivering precise, comfortable, and compassionate root canal and endodontic care. As we build our team from the ground up, we're looking for a skilled assistant who takes pride in clinical excellence and patient comfort in equal measure. Position Overview We're seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to support chairside procedures in a fast-paced endodontic specialty setting. This role is central to both the clinical workflow and the patient experience — you'll help ensure every procedure runs smoothly and every patient feels well cared for, often during a stressful visit. Responsibilities Provide chairside assistance during root canal treatment, retreatment, apicoectomy, and vital pulp therapy procedures Prepare and set up treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for each case Take and process intraoral radiographs and CBCT imaging Sterilize and maintain instruments in accordance with infection control protocols Mix dental materials and pass instruments efficiently during procedures Educate patients on post-op care instructions and answer routine clinical questions Maintain accurate clinical documentation in patient charts Manage and track dental supply and instrument inventory Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment Support scheduling and patient flow coordination with the front desk as needed Qualifications Current X-ray certification CPR/BLS certification Prior experience in a dental office preferred, but will provide training as needed Familiarity with rotary endodontic instrumentation, rubber dam isolation, and operating microscopes a plus but not necessary Ability to learn sterilization protocols and infection control standards Excellent chairside manner and ability to help anxious patients feel at ease Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with the doctor as a two-person clinical team Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience The opportunity to help shape the culture and systems of a brand-new practice A supportive, small-team environment with direct mentorship from the doctor Paid time off and paid holidays Continuing education support Health insurance benefits planned as the practice grows Location 1945 East 70th Street, Suite F Shreveport, LA 71105 Employment is contingent upon a successful background check.

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
