Duties Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of dental assistants and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations Assist our expert providers during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, materials, and equipment, ensuring sterilization and infection prevention protocols are strictly followed Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and facilitating patient management software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Take high-quality dental X-rays and 3D scans while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and safety standards Provide comprehensive patient care including vital signs measurement, medical documentation, and explaining procedures in clear dental terminology Ensure clinical confidentiality policies are followed while maintaining accurate medical records and documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems Skills Extensive knowledge of dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, four handed dentistry, and aseptic technique Proficiency with dental equipment such as dental x ray machines, intraoral cameras, 3D scanners, and sterilization devices Strong understanding of infection control practices and healthcare infection prevention protocols Experience with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing patient records efficiently Ability to interpret dental terminology and medical terminology accurately for documentation and communication Excellent leadership skills to supervise clinical staff while fostering teamwork and high standards of patient care Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures, oral surgery protocols, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry practices Join Cambridge Dental Center and become part of a team where excellence, innovation, and Harvard caliber expertise come together every day.
