Job Description
Dental/Orthodontic Assistant Growing, state-of-the-art, patient-focused, boutique-style orthodontic office seeking a motivated and enthusiastic orthodontic assistant to add to our team. A successful candidate will be professional, punctual and reliable with a great attitude and excellent attention to detail and communication skills. Previous orthodontic assisting experience and/or sales background is a plus but not required. Valid MA dental assisting license is preferred, but we are willing to provide on-the-job training for the right individual. Our office is completely digital so candidates must be comfortable and proficient with computers (especially mac system).
Responsibilities:
Greeting patients and preparing them for their specific appointments. Speaking to prospective and existing patients/parents about orthodontic treatment. Educating patients on oral-hygiene and giving post-procedure instructions, and taking part in after-care communications. Chair-side assisting for different orthodontic procedures, including but not limiting to taking photos, x-rays, intra-oral scanning, setting up for 3D printing, routine orthodontic adjustments, and fabrication of retainers. Setting up, breaking down, disinfecting and sterilizing treatment areas and instruments. Maintain compliance with all standards and protocols of OSHA and HIPAA. Participating in community outreach and internal / external marketing.Hours :
Tuesday -Wednesday:
8:45-6:15Thursday:
8:15-4:45, One Saturday/month from 9:45-3:15 Potential for adding on Mondays 10-6 as well for the right candidate to achieve full time status. Remuneration commensurate with experience and skill level.
