Job Description

As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the orthodontic team to deliver excellent patient care in a welcoming and professional environment. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced practice. Key Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and treatment procedures.

Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained.

Take and process digital radiographs, photographs, impressions, and scans as permitted by state regulations.

Place and remove orthodontic appliances, archwires, ligatures, and other materials as directed by the orthodontist.

Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment expectations.

Update and maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes.

Monitor inventory and assist with ordering clinical supplies as needed.

Ensure compliance with infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and office safety protocols.

Provide outstanding customer service and help create a positive patient experience.

Support office operations and collaborate with team members to achieve practice goals.
