We are a small family business focused on quality dental care. Our dental team has been with our office more than a decade and we need a Dental Assistant to join our team and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare. In this role, you will support dentists in providing comprehensive dental treatments, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a smooth clinical workflow. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their dental experience. We are looking for a dental assistant to join our team and grow with us for the next 10-20 years. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly in accordance with infection prevention management and dental sterilization procedures Assist dentists during various procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support and managing dental instruments efficiently Take and develop dental x-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring proper technique and patient safety following HIPAA guidelines for medical documentation and confidentiality policies Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical records, recording vital signs, and verifying insurance information using patient management software like Eaglesoft Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and explain dental terminology to enhance their understanding of procedures and treatment plans Maintain clinical cleanliness by adhering to infection control standards, including aseptic technique and dental equipment sterilization protocols Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist, managing medical records, and ensuring compliance with healthcare infection prevention standards Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of general dentistry procedures Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing patient records and documentation Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Skilled in X-ray techniques and familiar with dental imaging technology including 3D scanners when available Knowledge of infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and dental sterilization procedures to ensure clinical safety standards are met Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in four-handed dentistry setups for enhanced workflow Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, team members, and healthcare professionals while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies Embark on a rewarding career that combines technical expertise with compassionate patient care. $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
