Duties Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics with precision and care Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all dental tools are properly processed in accordance with infection prevention management policies Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix , ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of medical documentation Support patient management by taking vital signs, explaining procedures clearly using dental terminology, and addressing patient questions to foster comfort and trust Maintain dental equipment including 3D scanners, dental sterilization procedures, and other clinical tools to ensure optimal functionality and safety Maintain light cleaning within the office 1x a week Collaborate seamlessly with the dental team to enhance efficiency during clinical procedures Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry but, will train the right candidate. MUST have or be working toward a dental assistant license Familiarity with dental assisting duties such as chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and infection control protocols is essential Proficiency in using dental practice management software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft for scheduling, record keeping, and billing purposes Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and oral health enhances communication within the team and with patients Hands-on experience with dental x-ray techniques, oral surgery support, endodontic procedures, or prosthodontic treatments is advantageous Demonstrated understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices ensures compliance with clinical confidentiality policies Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while advancing your career in a supportive environment dedicated to excellence in dental care!
