Dental Assistant - Full-Time or Part-TimeJob Summary Plymouth Dental Group is seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing practice in Plymouth, Massachusetts. In this role, you will provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures, prepare treatment rooms and equipment, maintain accurate patient records, and help create a comfortable and welcoming experience for every patient. The ideal candidate is organized, attentive to detail, communicates well, and contributes positively to a supportive team environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during restorative, surgical, endodontic, prosthodontic, pediatric, and other general dentistry procedures Provide efficient four-handed chairside assistance Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment Sterilize and process dental instruments using proper aseptic and infection-control techniques Clean, disinfect, and restock treatment rooms between patients Take dental X-rays and 3D scans when appropriately trained and authorized Follow all applicable radiation-safety, infection-control, sterilization, and patient-safety protocols Record vital signs and update patient charts and treatment information accurately Provide patients with clear preoperative and postoperative instructions Explain procedures and respond to patient questions with professionalism and empathy Maintain accurate and confidential electronic patient records in compliance with HIPAA requirements Help manage clinical inventory and notify the team when supplies need to be ordered Support appointment scheduling and other administrative responsibilities when needed Collaborate with dentists, dental hygienists, and other team members to maintain an efficient patient schedule and positive clinical environment Qualifications Previous dental-assisting experience is preferred Dental-assisting education, certification, or relevant clinical training is preferred Massachusetts dental X-ray authorization or applicable certification is preferred Current CPR/BLS certification is preferred Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, materials, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures Understanding of sterilization procedures, aseptic techniques, and infection-control standards Ability to operate dental equipment safely and effectively Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills Dependable, punctual, attentive to detail, and team-oriented Experience with Denticon is helpful but not required Willingness to learn, develop new skills, and grow with the practice Position Details Job type: Full-time or part-time
Pay:
$26.00-$30.00 per hour, based on dental-assisting experience, qualifications, and clinical skills
