Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all clinical supplies are ready for procedures. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to all safety protocols and radiation safety standards. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms while maintaining strict clinical confidentiality policies. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging when necessary to support comprehensive patient care. Follow infection prevention management protocols including dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to uphold the highest standards of healthcare infection control expertise. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and explain dental terminology clearly to ensure understanding. Support the dental reception process by managing patient check-in/out, scheduling appointments via patient management software, and handling administrative tasks related to medical documentation and records. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar software for efficient patient data management. Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure the protection of patient privacy at all times. Experience with dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, dental sterilization tools, and other clinical instruments. Expertise in dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures following infection control standards. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques across various specialties like oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare documentation practices. Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist with medical imaging as needed for comprehensive patient care. Excellent communication skills for effective patient management and collaboration within a healthcare team. Knowledge of general dentistry workflows combined with a strong commitment to clinical confidentiality policies and infection prevention management practices.
