Paradigm Oral Surgery seeks a Licensed Dental Assistant to support our oral and maxillofacial surgeons in delivering exceptional, patient-focused care. In this on-site role, you will prepare treatment rooms, set up surgical trays, assist chairside for extractions, implants, and other oral surgery procedures, and ensure strict adherence to sterilization and infection control standards. You'll take radiographs, document in the EHR, provide clear pre- and post-op instructions, and help patients feel informed and comfortable. Responsibilities Assist oral and maxillofacial surgeons chairside during surgical and non-surgical procedures Prepare operatories and surgical trays, ensuring instruments and supplies are available and organized Maintain strict sterilization, disinfection, and infection control protocols per OSHA and practice standards Take and process dental radiographs and CBCT images as permitted by state regulations Prepare patients for procedures, obtain and record vital signs, and support patient comfort throughout visits Provide clear pre- and post-operative instructions and reinforce surgeon recommendations Document treatments, notes, and materials used in the electronic health record accurately and timely Monitor and maintain inventory of clinical supplies and surgical instruments, reporting needs proactively Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and administrative staff to support efficient clinical workflows Participate in ongoing training, safety drills, and quality initiatives to support high clinical standards Required Skills Chairside oral surgery assisting Dental radiography and imaging Sterilization and infection control Surgical tray and instrument setup Electronic health records (EHR) documentation Patient preparation and monitoring Post-operative instruction and care Vital signs monitoring Inventory and operatory maintenance OSHA and HIPAA compliance
