Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Bilingual Spanish is a must due to our Patient population and location. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques. Take and record vital signs to monitor patient health. Manage patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans. Utilize dental software Open Dental for scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records. Perform basic dental imaging procedures as required. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office. Requirements Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with dental software, particularly Open Dental, is highly desirable Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently. Experience with medical records management is a plus Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
