Pay Range:

$25.00 - $32.00 per hour Actual pay within this range is based on experience, licensure, and expanded functions certification.

About the Role We're looking for a skilled, compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental and orthodontic team. You'll work chairside in a fast-paced, patient-centered practice where your ability to put a nervous seven-year-old at ease matters as much as your clinical skill. What You'll Do Assist the doctor during pediatric dental and orthodontic procedures Take dental X-rays in accordance with Maryland licensure requirements Manage instrument processing and maintain a clean, organized sterilization area Prepare and break down treatment rooms efficiently between patients Communicate clearly and professionally with children and their parents Support other areas of the practice as needed to keep the day running smoothly What We're Looking For A valid Maryland Dental Radiation Technologist license. Candidates currently enrolled in a Maryland state-accredited dental X-ray certification program will be considered, provided licensure is obtained within an agreed-upon timeframe. Experience or strong interest in working with pediatric patients Proficiency with computers, including web navigation, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and dental practice management software Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with both children and parents Reliability, initiative, and a collaborative approach to teamwork Nice to Have Fluency in Spanish Experience with Carestack or comparable practice management software Certification in Expanded Functions for General Dentistry and/or Orthodontics How to Apply Apply through Indeed with your resume and tell us why you'd be a great fit!
