Experienced Dental Assistant

Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as an Experienced Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment. In this role, you will support dentists during clinical procedures, ensure smooth clinic operations, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. Your expertise in dental assisting and familiarity with advanced dental technology will help create a comfortable experience for every patient. Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary dental instruments, materials, and sterilized equipment following infection prevention management protocols Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as dental x-ray machines and 3D scanners, ensuring patient safety and comfort Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining strict clinical confidentiality policies Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures to promote overall dental health Perform vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care Maintain dental equipment functionality, perform instrument processing, and ensure adherence to infection control standards in line with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry preferred Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with patient management software is a plus Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and clinical procedures including dental sterilization procedures and aseptic technique Certification in X-ray technology (Dental x-ray) required; additional certifications in oral surgery or endodontics are advantageous Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage patient interactions professionally as a Dental receptionist when needed Knowledge of infection prevention management policies, medical terminology, and healthcare infection control standards Ability to work efficiently in a team environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal clinical flow This position is ideal for motivated professionals eager to advance their career while making a positive impact on patients' lives.
