Job description: Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Dental Assistant to join our dental practice in Owings Mills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring patient comfort, and supporting the clinical team with various administrative and clinical tasks. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, infection control protocols, and medical documentation to deliver high-quality dental care in a environment. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards Take digital X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper patient positioning and safety protocols Record medical history and clinical notes in Dentrix Manage medical documentation and records accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions Perform chairside assisting with proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and dental imaging techniques Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow Ensure compliance with infection control standards and maintain a sterile environment Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting with familiarity in general dentistry, implants, prosthodontics, or endodontics preferred Proficiency in Dentrix highly desirable Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining patient safety and confidentiality Experience with X-ray procedures, 3D scanners, intraoral photos preferred Strong understanding of dental terminology Prior experience supporting dental procedures through four-handed dentistry techniques This position offers an opportunity to work within a professional team dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care while advancing your skills in a dynamic dental environment.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
