Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant with X-ray certification to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting procedures, excellent patient care skills, and proficiency in radiography. This role offers an engaging environment where you will support dentists in delivering high-quality care, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and safety. The successful applicant will thrive in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating professionalism and a commitment to exceptional dental service. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards. Assist dentists during various procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, with precision and efficiency. Take dental X-rays using digital imaging technology, ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety. Provide chairside assistance by handling dental instruments, managing materials, and supporting four-handed dentistry techniques for seamless workflow. Educate patients on post-treatment care, dental terminology, and oral health practices to promote ongoing wellness. Support the front desk by performing dental receptionist duties when needed, including appointment scheduling and patient check-in/out processes. Requirements Valid X-ray certification recognized by state regulations; Proven experience in dental assisting Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Experience working with 3D scanners or other advanced imaging technologies is a plus. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.

From $23.00 per hour
