Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures in office and in the hospital setting
- Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort
- Must be MD x-ray certified and be able to take x-rays and use other dental imaging devices
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with medical documentation
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
- Perform various office tasks as needed
Experience:
- Prior experience in a dental office setting is preferred
- Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy and knowledge
- Experience with pediatric patients
- Strong understanding of infection control practices
